Generative AI Adoption Continues to Rise Globally
Global adoption of generative artificial intelligence grew in the second half of 2025, with about one in six people worldwide now using such tools, according to a January analysis from the Microsoft AI Economy Institute. The United Arab Emirates leads globally, with 64% of its working-age population using AI, followed by Singapore at 60.9%. In Central Asia, Kazakhstan ranks first in AI adoption at 13.7%. The report notes a growing divide in AI use between countries, attributing the differences to varying levels of investment in digital infrastructure, education, and regulatory frameworks. South Korea saw one of the fastest improvements in adoption, climbing seven places in the global rankings.
